Performer displays a paper strip lettered "1000" to wish the birthday child a happy thousandth birthday. Responding to the protests, he tears off the zeros from the end, to make the birthday child 100 years old, then 10 and 1 year old. Finally the torn pieces are restored and the strip now says HAPPY BIRTHDAY.......

This effect combines a little novelty cartooning, then a torn and restored paper plus a surprise climax! You take up a black-painted clipboard, holding a 17.5"x8" piece of bright yellow paper. Explaining your recent trip to China, you writes "CHINA" on the paper. Whilst there, you met a Chinese magician who did amazing magic. "Perhaps you'd like to see him," you ponder aloud, and with a few strokes of the pen, you transform the word CHINA into a picture of the Chinese magician...
A silk with a picture of a black dog changes into a silk with a picture of a white dog on it.
Then these two silks disappear and there is a picture of a white dog with black spots.
He is a dalmatian!
